Use brainwave entrainment to take your brain through a full cycle of sleep and come out of it refreshed and energized.
Every night while we sleep, we naturally dip into Alpha, Theta, and Delta brainwaves. We go through 3-4 sleep cycles each night, with each cycle including time in each of these brainwave states. One complete sleep cycle takes approximately 90 minutes and the problem with afternoon naps is that we normally don’t have time to complete a full sleep cycle. Waking up from your nap half way through a sleep cycle can leave you feeling groggy.
Power Nap gently slows your brainwaves to Alpha, Theta, and Delta frequencies, in that order, and then back up again through Theta and finally back to Alpha, leaving you in an alert and relaxed state with new energy to continue with your day.
The primordial sounds of birds and light rain bring you to a peaceful place while the frequencies take your brainwaves to the desired states. Recommendations for Listening to Power Nap:
Power Nap is designed for those times when you need a pick-me-up but don’t have enough time to complete a full 90 minute sleep cycle. A full sleep cycle incorporates time in Alpha, Theta, and Delta. If your nap skips one of the states, you can wake up feeling groggy and not refreshed.
As long as you have a full 30 minutes to complete the soundtrack, Power Nap can be used at any time of the day. It will gently take your brainwaves through all the stages of sleep, ending in the Alpha state. Stopping the track early is not recommended since you would not complete a full sleep cycle. Even if you don’t fall asleep while listening to the track, your brain still benefits by experiencing the brain states of a full sleep cycle.
For times when you cannot fully lay down and fall asleep, simply closing your eyes and listening to Power Nap can still help you feel mentally rejuvenated to keep going through the rest of your day.
